Spinning Puzzle and Wiggle Interactive + Shaped Cards

Hello everyone!! Indira here with 2 fun interactive cards which incidentally also have different shapes rather than the usual rectangle/square cards....

Card no. 1 - Spinning Puzzle Boat-shaped Card

This is a boat-shaped card with a navigation wheel on top that holds the spinning part.

    1. Cut three circles 4", 5" and 6" in diameter.
    2. Layered them on top of one another and poked a small hole in the center to insert the brad later.
    3. Stamped the sentiment on the smallest circle.
    4. Placed the layered circles on a stamping tool and stamped the images around the sentiment.
    5. Masked and distressed using Broken China DI.
    6. Colored the images using Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens.
    7. Inserted the brad onto them.
    8. Created the boat-shaped card base using textured brown card stock.
    9. Made the navigation wheel part and adhered it behind the spinning circles.
    10. Added a tab with 'SPIN' sign to indicate that the circles needs to be rotated to solve the puzzle and reveal the full image.

Below is a video clip showing the mechanism of the Puzzle card....

    Card no. 2 - Wiggle-Rocker Card

This is a rocker card with baby image that wiggles.

    1. Started by stamping and coloring the baby image.
    2. Created the card base using light blue CS.
    3. Glued pattern paper on the card base.
    4. Took a die-cut piece and glued pattern paper in the center.
    5. Created the wiggle mechanism by winding a thin wire on a pen.
    6. Taped one end of the wound wire piece behind baby image and the other end on the die-cut.
    7. Decorated the card base with white lace and bows.
    8. Adhered the die-cut piece onto the card base.
    9. Stamped and added the sentiment on the card.
    10. Added few more star shaped glitter embellishments.

Below is a video clip showing the mechanism of the Wiggle Rocker card....

Card no. 3 - Thanks a Bunch CAS Card

    1. Took a watercolored CS and stamped the sentiment.
    2. Stamped the floral bunch and then masked it to stamp the pig image next to it.
    3. Colored the images using Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens.
    4. Added some shading using light gray pen.
    5. Added the card panel onto and orange card base.

Three Cards and a Video with Linda

Hi there - thanks for joining me today as I create two interactive cards and something a little more CAS with Mudra's gorgeous stamps.

If you haven't, perhaps my first two cards will give you some ideas.

First off I have a window card featuring the very cute Furry Friends stamp set.

You can watch how my card was created in the video below or in HD on the Mudra You Tube channel -

My second card uses the same window idea in singular form - for something more pretty and floral -

    1. Using Distress Oxide inks and the Mandala Stencil, blend a mix of colours all over the white card front piece
    2. Cut the MFT Interactive Window from the centre of this piece
    3. Lay this die cut piece over your white card front and mark in pencil where the window will lie
    4. Blend ink around the pencilled area on the card front and add a stamped sentiment and floral images
    5. Add glittered enamel dots/sequins to accent
    6. Adhere the stencilled piece to the card front and accent the centre of the Mandala with a glittered enamel dot/sequin

Card number 3 is a little more CAS, with some Copic coloured flowers and a die cut heart...

    1. Stamp the Wild Roses and leaves with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and colour with Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers
    2. Fussy cut the images
    3. Die cut a heart from patterned paper and work out where you will arrange the pieces on your card front
    4. Before adhering anything down, place this arrangement in the Misti and stamp the sentiment first on the card front and then again with the heart in place lying perfectly over the sentiment below - easy when you leave everything in place in your Misti
    5. Adhere the heart with craft foam underneath and adhere the flowers with foam tape.
    6. Adhere the leaves to the card front peeking out from the opposite edge of the heart
    7. Embellish with a few sparkly rhinestones/sequins

Here are the Mudra products I've used on my cards -

Hello everyone! This is Deepti Stephens and welcome back. Today I have two Mermaid Cards to share with you all. I used Mermaid stamp set for my project today. Let's start.

Pull Tab Slider Card with Pictorial

I stamped the images that wanted to go on my card with Archival Jet Black Ink and water colored them using Faber-Castell Connector pens. I purposely used a regular card stock for water coloring as I wanted that textured look on my images.

Next I ink blended over the card panel with Peacock Feathers, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Ink just to mimic an ocean. And then added splatters of water for some texture.

I cut off the tail of the Mermaid as I wanted it to fit in my card.

I also cut a tiny slit across the card panel so that the Mermaid can slide in and out freely.

Next I flipped over the panel, here you can see the back of the card and the back of the Mermaid too.

Now place some glue or you can use sticky tape on the back of the Mermaid as shown in the above picture

and adhere a card strip as shown above.

Next I cut a slit on the card panel right behind the Mermaid,

and inserted a small piece of card stock and adhered it to the strip

and to the body of the Mermaid to gain more retention while pulling.

I then adhered the foam tape behind the card panel. Do not adhere any glue behind the strip as it ceases the movement of the strip.

Now punch a hole into the strip and thread some twine. This twine helps pulling up and pushing down the Mermaid.

I adhered all the images slightly below the slit. In the above picture we can see that the Mermaid is peeping!

And in this picture, Mermaid just came out and saying hi :)

I hope the pictorial is clear. But if you have any doubts please don't hesitate to comment below. I am ready to help and answer!

I hope you like it. Now let's move on to the second card!

    CARD  #2

I die-cut the wave out of blue card stock with Under the Sea thinlit dies from Sizzix

Next I stamped the Mermaids and cut off their bodies and used only tails on my project. Next I adhered the tails behind the wave!

Finally stamped the sentiment and added splatters of black paint. And also embellished the card with a few clear sequins.

I hope you like my cards and I hope you would also play along with our current challenge where the theme is Interactive Cards/projects. Thank you so much for stopping by. See you soon :)
